Acceptable Use Policy

Scope

This policy applies to everyone who uses GifteGO — buyers, recipients, and business customers — and covers the website, mobile apps, wallet, group cards, and any API access. It sits alongside our Terms of Service; where the two overlap, both apply.

Permitted Use

GifteGO is for buying digital gift cards for your own use, for gifting to others, and for legitimate business purposes such as employee rewards and customer incentives.

Purchases funded by a payment method you own
Gifting to recipients who have consented to receive the message
Bulk purchasing under a business account for rewards or promotions

Prohibited Conduct

You must not use GifteGO to:

Pay with a stolen, cloned, or unauthorised payment method
Launder money, or convert illicit funds into gift card value
Buy gift cards on behalf of someone pressuring or instructing you to do so
Resell codes in breach of a brand's own terms or applicable law
Run a commercial resale operation without a written agreement with GifteGO
Circumvent regional restrictions, pricing, or purchase limits
Test stolen card numbers through repeated small transactions

If someone you do not know has asked you to buy gift cards and share the codes, stop. That is the most common gift card scam, and no legitimate company, government body, or GifteGO employee will ever ask you to do it.

Account and Access Rules

One person, one account, unless a business agreement says otherwise
Do not create additional accounts to evade limits, bans, or promotion caps
Do not share, sell, or transfer your account or its credentials
Keep your password and one-time codes private — we will never ask for them

Content and Messages

Gift messages, group card entries, and support correspondence must not contain unlawful, harassing, hateful, or sexually explicit content, malware or phishing links, or another person's private information shared without their consent. GifteGO may remove content that breaches this policy.

Automated Access

Scraping, crawling beyond what our robots directives permit, credential stuffing, and automated purchasing are not allowed. Businesses needing programmatic access should use our official API under a partnership agreement rather than automating the website.

No bots, scripts, or headless browsers used to place orders
No probing, scanning, or load-testing of our systems without written permission
No attempt to bypass rate limits, captchas, or fraud controls

Enforcement

Where this policy is breached, GifteGO may:

Cancel or hold affected orders
Require identity verification before allowing further activity
Restrict, suspend, or permanently close the account
Withdraw reward points or wallet credit obtained through abuse
Report the activity to payment providers, brand partners, or law enforcement

Action is taken proportionately. Where an account is restricted, you may contact support to ask for the decision to be reviewed.

Reporting Abuse

If you receive a suspicious message that appears to come from GifteGO, believe your account has been accessed by someone else, or have been pressured into buying gift cards, contact our support team immediately through the Help Centre. Reports about a specific order are handled fastest when they include the order reference and the email address used at checkout.
